Session Title: Media Strategies

SESSION 'HEADLINES':
- * WNC, especially Asheville, already has a robust community media infrastructure
- * Organizations need to leverage these outlets to get their message out
- Media is a key element of transforming WNC into the "Sustainability Capital"
- Information overloaded audiences need good curators!
- * Environmental issues involve *everyone*
- Identify and build the audience!
*NECESSARY/DESIRED ACTION: (Declarative Statements)
- * Help organizations develop effective media strategies for community and mass media
- * Identify documentaries and resources that can be sponsored for airing locally dealing with core issues
- * Stick to core messages, but frame issues to be attractive to media outlets
- * Diversify! Reach the broadest number of communities.
